Youth Council Mission

The Homes with Hope Youth Council is a group of high school students who volunteer their time to support Homes with Hope's mission: ending housing and food insecurity in Fairfield County. Youth Council members work directly in our programs and at major fundraising and awareness events throughout the year.

Expectations

To join and remain active in the Youth Council, members agree to:

Attend Youth Council meetings (3 per year)

Volunteer at a minimum of 4 events per year

Sign up for events in advance so we can plan staffing

Communicate as early as possible if a commitment changes

Represent Homes with Hope professionally while volunteering

What They Do

Youth Council members volunteer in our programs and help out at major events, including:

  • The Food Pantry and After School Academic Program

  • Food drives throughout the year

  • Stand Up for Homes with Hope

  • The 06880 Holiday Stroll
