Food
Homes with Hope provides food services to our resident clients, those at risk of homelessness, and those in need in the community.
The Community Kitchen
The Community Kitchen has been operated by Homes with Hope since 1983. Serving 21,000 meals annually, it is located at the Gillespie Center and is open to all who need a meal. A very generous and dedicated community of volunteers (organizations, clubs, businesses, families, and more) take turns preparing lunches and dinners every day of the year.
Be sure to read the Community Kitchen Guidelines for more information.
The Food Pantry
Located at the Gillespie Center, the food pantry provides groceries and fresh food to individuals and families facing food insecurity.
We offer shelf-stable goods, fresh produce, dairy, meat, and baked items. The pantry ensures that no neighbor in our community has to choose between paying bills and putting food on the table.
Clients can shop once a week.

CT Basket Brigade
CT BASKET BRIGADE
CT Basket Brigade has been providing Thanksgiving meals to vulnerable families served by area non-profit and community organizations for many years. We have now expanded our reach beyond the greater Bridgeport and Norwalk areas, and we need your help to meet the growing needs of food-insecure families.
Homes with Hope is proud to take on the role of managing partner of the CT Basket Brigade to ensure the program’s continuation and stability for years to come.
Assembly and distribution will take place at Fairfield Social Services, located at 100 Mona Terrace in Fairfield, on Saturday, November 21st 2026. For more information or to volunteer, please contact Jennifer Amon at basketbrigade@hwhct.org.
All donations directly support the cost of the food items included in the Thanksgiving baskets. Thank you in advance for your generous support in helping us feed more than 400 families this Thanksgiving!
