L to R: Jeff Wieser, President & CEO of Homes with Hope, Laila Tiefenthaler,
Scott Tiefenthaler, Craig Tiefenthaler, and the great Westport Wash & Wax staff
The 15th Annual Good Neighbor Day, sponsored by Westport Wash & Wax, was held on September 4th. It was a busy day at the car wash and patrons were greeted by Homes with Hope staff and board members and, as always, by the Tiefenthalers. All of the day’s revenue was donated to Homes with Hope to provide support for programs and services designed to help the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless in the local community.
Good Neighbor Day was established in 2001 by the Tiefenthaler family who wanted to lend their support to a local nonprofit organization that was making a difference; Homes with Hope was that organization. Jeff Wieser, President & CEO of Homes with Hope, lauded the efforts and generosity of the Tiefenthalers, “It is wonderful to recognize that over the 15 years that Westport Wash & Wax has sponsored Good Neighbor Day, they have donated to Homes with Hope more than $75,000. Our organization is very grateful for the support that the Tiefenthalers have provided to our programs over the years, and every day we make sure that the funds we raise are used efficiently and effectively.”
